It has been shown that sales of ice cream can be enhanced by using natural ingredients and innovative flavors. Finding the suitable natural color to support either traditional flavors like Strawberry or more innovative flavors like Red velvet cake or Violet could be a real challenge.  

Chr. Hansen has developed SweetColor® Pink 1144 WSP and SweetColor® Red 1344 WSP which are vegetable based colors, highly concentrated powders, for dairy and water based ice cream. The new easy to use solutions provide intense pink and red shades while further red velvet cake or purple shades can be obtain through blending. By using those colors, the ice cream manufacturers can therefore obtain unique and unseen shades while using natural colors.
